Classic Game Room HD reviews GUITAR HERO SMASH HITS for Xbox 360, also available for Playstation 3 PS3 but not Vectrex. 48 songs from the original artists found on previous Guitar Hero video games pack this music video game with rocking tunes to play with the entire Guitar Hero band. CGRHD reviews Guitar Hero Smash Hits while playing bass to songs by Ratt, White Zombie, Rush, Warrant, Alice in Chains, Rage Against the Machine, Kansas, KISS, Helmet, Aerosmith and more. This is like a best of collection of Guitar Hero music from GH1, GH2, GH3 and GH Aerosmith and the 80′s rock one. Play songs you may have played before with the band, the venues are colorful and full of life, character creation is the same, etc… GH Smash Hits is more of the same but for fans of the series this is a welcome addition because of the excellent music you may have missed the first time around when the GH series was new. From Neversoft, Red Octane and Activision. You Rock! Where’s my Weird Al Yankovic Accordian Hero though? Eat it, eat it! Review features Guitar Hero Smash Hits gameplay from Xbox 360 showing an acievement point being unlocked (for my terrible playing during Jane’s Addiction)
Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of Guitar Hero: Metallica (Part 1) from Budcat Creations and Activision for the Nintendo Wii. Guitar Hero: Metallica is also available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 2. Guitar Hero: Metallica is an interesting rhythm game in that it compensates for its shortcomings with the one thing that matters — playing guitar. It doesn’t have the polish and grandeur of The Beatles: Rock Band, and in terms of content, it can’t compete with newer releases, either. But for those of a particular musical persuasion, there’s simply never been a rhythm game more fun to play than this one. This video review features video gameplay footage of Guitar Hero: Metallica for the Nintendo Wii and audio commentary from Classic Game Room’s Derek. Be sure to check out Part 2 of this video feature.
Classic Game Room HD reviews the DEF LEPPARD track pack for Guitar Hero 3 for the Xbox 360 video game console. Download three Def Leppard songs like Photograph and Rock of Ages from Xbox Live Arcade XBLA and rock, rock ’till you drop. You can Armageddon it like an animal while you pour some sugar on me. Photograph? Who needs a picture when you’re high and dry and headin’ for the heartbreak! It’s hysteria! Rocket, yeah! While we all wait for Guitar Hero World Tour and enjoy the existing Guitar Hero III video game we can play a few downloadable track packs at a modest cost to spice up our GH lifestyles. I’m proud to say I have Def Leppard on CD, vinyl and cassette, and now on Guitar Hero 3 for Xbox 360! Enjoy this and other Classic video game reviews from the Classic Game Room video game review show. Some people say “It’s good!”, critics say “whatever” and it’s the show everyone is talking about (no it isn’t). CGR bitches!
Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of GUITAR HERO AEROSMITH for the Xbox 360 Video Game Console. Although this game is probably identical on the PlayStation 3 PS3 and Wii game systems, this review uses the 360 guitar because it is the one I already own. Who doesn’t like Aerosmith? I’ll tell you who. People who like to stick cheese in their ears. This game has all the big hits like Walk this Way and Dream On, and also many songs from the band that aren’t as well known. You can play as DMC from Run DMC and the other band members from Aerosmith. The gameplay is solid and the graphics and animation are top notch. Sound quality is stunning and comes primarily from studio recordings. Your favorite characters from Guitar Hero III Monsters of Rock are in there. This game is a slight step forward in some respects from Guitar Hero 3, and I’m excited to see what they do with Guitar Hero 4. I hear that in Guitar Hero 4 they may allow you to make your own music and create all kinds of wild characters and hot chicks with tattoos on their face. I hope they don’t get too carried away, I think that GH3 and GH Aerosmith are excellent games that are fun for the entire family. Earn new gamer points on Xbox Live and smash your Guitar to bits while rocking out to the Cult, Joan Jett and Stone Temple Pilots. This is a fun game. Classic Game Room was the original classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999-2000, now on DVD. The reviews on the HD series are reviewing PS3, PS2, Genesis, NES, Atari and Xbox 360. Classic Game Room presents a CGR Undertow review of GUITAR HERO: SMASH HITS for the Nintendo Wii, also released on the PlayStation 2 (PS2), PlayStation 3 (PS3) and Xbox 360. Guitar Hero: Smash Hits is from Beenox Studios, RedOctane and Activision. This is a tandem video game review from Classic Game Room reviewers Derek and Ray.
In an effort to get back to its roots, the Guitar Hero franchise can’t even find the tree.
The last boss battle. Really hard!
